Rules, Regulations, & Important Stuff

ELIGIBILITY: 
 
NO  PURCHASE  NECESSARY.  Open  only  to legal residents of the United  States. Employees and directors of KFWR 95.9 The Ranch, The  Railhead  BBQ  In Willow Park, their affiliated companies, participating    Sponsors,   information   providers,   content providers,  subsidiaries,  advertisers,  advertising  agencies, promotional  and marketing agencies (and their immediate family members   and   those   living  in  the  same  households)  are ineligible. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all respects.


HOW TO PLAY:

Each  week  beginning  on  Tuesday,  April  6,  2010 and ending Tuesday, June 28, 2010 at The Railhead BBQ In Willow Park, KFWR 95.9 The Ranch will host THE RANCH PICKIN’ PARTY.

NOTE:   ARTISTS  ARE PROHIBITED FROM DISTRIBUTING ANY MARKETING MATERIAL  RELATED  TO  SALES  AND/OR  PROMOTIONS  OF  THEIR OWN ACTS…TO  INCLUDE  CDS, T-SHIRTS, FLYERS, MERCHANDISE AND ANY OF THE  LIKE.   ANY  ARTISTS  NOT  ABIDING BY THIS REQUEST WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE 2010 CONTEST. 


4:00 pm:  REGISTRATION BEGINS:

Musicians  sign  up, free of charge, at the KFWR 95.9 The Ranch Registration Table

NOTE:    ALL   MUSICIANS  CAN  PERFORM  SOLO  OR  WITH  ONE  OR TWO ACCOMPANYING   MUSICIANS…NO   MORE  THAN  THREE  PERFORMERS TOTAL.  ACOUSTIC ACTS ONLY.


5:15 pm:  REGISTRATION ENDS:

Registration  Forms  are  mixed  up and placed in random order. The  first  fifteen  (15) contestants  are guaranteed a slot to perform.   When  time  allows  (until 8:00 pm) we will continue with contestant’s number sixteen (16) and up.


5:30 pm:  START PICKIN’:

 
The musicians “order of performance” is announced.
The  musicians  are  then  called  up to perform “Two” Original
Songs,  NO  COVER SONGS ALLOWED.  Musicians can perform solo or with  one  or  two accompanying  musicians…No  more  than three performers total. 

ACOUSTIC ACTS ONLY.


VOTING METHODS:
Overall  results  will  be  determined  by a variety of methods
including but not limited to:
* Audience  Participation  by silent written ballot, provide by 95.9 The Ranch.
* KFWR  95.9  The  Ranch  Appointed  personnel  will  determine voting.   The  Ranch  will  have  the  final  say as to who the SEMI-FINALISTS will be.


7:15 pm:
 
Overall  results  will  be  determined  by a variety of methods
including but not limited to:
* KFWR  95.9  The  Ranch  Appointed  personnel  will  determine winner.  The Ranch will have the final say as to who the WINNER will be.

ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND NOT SUBJECT TO REVIEW.
KFWR 95.9 THE RANCH REPRESENTATIVES HAVE THE ABSOLUTE FINAL SAY AS TO WHO THE WINNER IS.


WINNERS ARE ANNOUNCED:
 
A  Representative  of  KFWR  95.9  The  Ranch will announce the Weekly Winner and award the weekly prize.
Those  who competed weekly but didn’t win in any given week are eligible  to  compete in the following weeks. Every eighth week the  seven previous weekly winners will come back to compete in a  semi-final  competition  where three acts or singers will be selected  to  move  on  to  the  finals.  There  will  be three semi-final  competitions,  (May  25th, July 20th, and September 14th),  as well as one wild card night, (September 21st), where semi-finalists  that  did not move on to the finals are brought back   for   one   final  chance  to  qualify  for  the  weekly competition.  The  weekly and semi-final winners get to open at the 95.9 The Ranch Texas Music Series at 8.0 in Sundance Square the   following   Wednesday.    Acoustic   Acts   Only.  Brandy Winkle will  be  responsible  for getting the winner’s name and contact  information  to  Milam  and Company for booking at the
95.9  The  Ranch  Texas Music Series at 8.0 in Sundance Square, and   will   also  be  responsible  for  getting  the  winner’s information  to  Kevin  McCoy/Ranch PD for announcements during the  Morning  Show  the  following  day.   The  Winner  will be responsible  for  contacting Milam and Company for set up dates and  times  at  The Ranch Texas Music Series at 8.0 in Sundance Square.  The  final  competition  will be held on September 28, 2010.

 
NOTIFICATION AND AWARDING OF PRIZES:
 
By  accepting  a  prize,  winner(s)  release  and discharge all
sponsors, affiliated companies and their parents, subsidiaries, advertising  and  promotion  agencies, and all their respective employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents from any  liability  or damage due in whole or in part to the award, acceptance,  possession,  use  or  misuse  of any prize or from participation in this contest. By  participating  in  this contest, any and all semi-finalists
and  winners,  except where prohibited by law, grants KFWR 95.9 The  Ranch and all other sponsors the right to use the winner’s name,    likeness,    picture,   portrait,   hometown,   voice, biographical  information,  written  submissions and written or oral  statements,  for  advertising  and  promotional  purposes without additional compensation.
KFWR  95.9  The  Ranch and The Railhead BBQ In Willow Park, and any  parties  affiliated with them, are not responsible for any error  in  registration  and  or  in  the  voting  process. All
decisions  on  prizes and winners are final and are not subject
to  review  based  on  allegations  of  voting  error, improper
voting,  and/or level of attendance during time of performance.
95.9  The Ranch and The Railhead BBQ in Willow Park reserve the right  to  refuse  anyone entrance into this contest. The Ranch will  have  the final say as to who the winner is. Contest will last 26  weeks.  In the event one or more of the weekly winners cannot  be present to perform at the 95.9 The Ranch Texas Music Series  at  8.0  in Sundance Square, 95.9 The Ranch may pick an alternate  picker with the criteria for that pick at their sole discretion.
