ELIGIBILITY:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Open only to legal residents of the United States. Employees and directors of KFWR 95.9 The Ranch, their affiliated companies, participating Sponsors, information providers, content providers, subsidiaries, advertisers, advertising agencies, promotional and marketing agencies (and their immediate family members and those living in the same households) are ineligible. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all respects.
NOTE: ARTISTS ARE PROHIBITED FROM DISTRIBUTING ANY MARKETING MATERIAL RELATED TO SALES AND/OR PROMOTIONS OF THEIR OWN ACTS…TO INCLUDE CDS, T-SHIRTS, FLYERS, MERCHANDISE AND ANY OF THE LIKE. ANY ARTISTS NOT ABIDING BY THIS REQUEST WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE 2010 CONTEST.

HOW TO PLAY:
Throughout the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo beginning on Friday, January 15, 2010 and ending Sunday, February 7,
2010 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, 3401 West Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76107, on the Frost Stage, 95.9 The Ranch will be hosting the 4TH Annual Stock Show Showdown.
Competition Dates:
Tuesday, January 19, 2010 – KFWR 95.9 The Ranch
Tuesday, January 26, 2010 – KFWR 95.9 The Ranch
FINALS: Tuesday, February 2, 2010 – KFWR 95.9 The Ranch
PRIZES:
3 Weekly Finalist, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive Ranch Gear and other prizes TBD
Prizes distributed at the finals will include:
1st Place – 10 hours of studio recording time at Fort Worth Sound, a $400 photo shoot with DP Studios, a custom buckle from KO Trading and an acoustic guitar
from Kona Guitars. Package valued at $2600.

HOW TO QUALIFY ON 95.9 THE RANCH:
Texas Country Singers and Songwriters will be asked to:
Entry dates: January 4, 2010 through January 15, 2010
3. A panel of Judges from 95.9 The Ranch will review each entry
4. Qualifiers will be picked based on the score of each individual evaluation
5. Evaluation Criteria is at the sole discretion of 95.9 The Ranch
KFWR 95.9 The Ranch will pick ten contestants to perform on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 and ten contestants to perform on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010.
The top three contestants from each of these nights will advance to the final round.
The final competition for KFWR 95.9 The Ranch will be held on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 where the top six contestants will perform for the title of The Stock Show Showdown. Credentials will be provided to contestants prior to the first Stock Show Showdown on Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

COUNTRY LEGENDS 92.1 FM SHOWDOWN BUT NOT BOTH.
NOTE: CONTESTANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THEIR CREDENTIALS FOR THE FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW SHOWDOWN WITH 95.9 THE RANCH AT THE RANCH RADIO GROUP STUDIOS WEEKDAYS (M-F) BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:30 AM AND 4:30 PM.

4:30 pm: CHECK - IN BEGINS:
Contestants will check in at the 95.9 The Ranch Registration Table located in the Round Up Inn of The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo - Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibit Hall. Failure to check in by 5:30 pm VOIDS your entry in the competition.
NOTE: ALL MUSICIANS MUST PERFORM SOLO OR WITH ONE OR TWO ACCOMPANYING MUSICIANS:
NO MORE THAN THREE PERFORMERS TOTAL.
ACOUSTIC ACTS ONLY. NO DRUMS ALLOWED.
5:30 pm: CHECK - IN ENDS:
Contestants will be given a number at check-in and will perform accordingly.
5:35 pm: START PICKIN’:
The contestants “order of performance” is announced. The contestants are then called up to the Mic to perform two songs with a total performance being under 10 minutes.
6:45 pm: VOTING METHODS:
Overall results will be determined by a variety of methods including but not limited to:
* Audience Participation
* Appointed Judges.
The Judges will have final say as to whom the three FINALISTS will be, taking into consideration audience applause.
ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL ANDARE NOT SUBJECT TO REVIEW.
7:00 pm: WINNERS ARE ANNOUNCED:
A Representative of The Ranch Radio Group will announce winner/s and award the prize.
(FINALS):
The top three contestants from weeks 1 & 2 will come back to The Ranch Radio Stock Show Showdown at The Frost Stage to compete in the final round. Each finalist will have no longer than 10 minutes to perform and may perform up to 2 songs. Cover Songs or Originals are permitted. In the result of a tie, the contestants will be asked to perform one additional song.
Acoustic Acts Only. No drums allowed.
MISCELLANEOUS:
By accepting a prize, winner(s) release and discharge all sponsors, affiliated companies and their parents, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and all their respective employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents from any liability or damage due in whole or in part to the award, acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize or from participation in this contest.
By participating in this contest, any and all semi-finalists and winners, except where prohibited by law, grants The Ranch Radio Group and all other sponsors the right to use the winner’s name, likeness, picture, portrait, hometown, voice, biographical information, written submissions and written or oral statements, for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation.
The Ranch Radio Group and The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, and any parties affiliated with them, are not responsible for any error in registration and or in the voting process. All decisions on prizes and winners are final and are not subject to review based on allegations of voting error, improper voting, and/or level of attendance during time of performance. The Ranch Radio Group and the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo reserve the right to refuse anyone entrance into this contest. Winners are picked based on audience applause and The Ranch Radio Group representatives’ decision. Contest will last 3 weeks.
