1. Birthday:  Nov. 15th

2. Favorite Texas Town: Fort Worth. Two worlds, one town, and it's all done perfectly.

3. What can always make you laugh:  No doubt in my mind that it's just about anything my kiddos do. Where they come up with it, I have no idea.

4. Movie that best represents my life: Vacation. It reminds me so much of the car trips that my family and I made as a kiddo. It sure looks like I'm headed down the same road too with Casey and kids now.

5. Best advise your mamma ever gave you: "Don't lick the blender until I unplug it."

6. Favorite food & drink: Pumpkin pie, snickerdoodles, chicken and rice. Coke Zero and a bottle of FC whiskey.

7. Phrase you catch yourself saying day after day: "Anything I can do for ya before I sit down?"

8. Do you believe in ghosts: You bet!!

Hidy Y'all,

I can't begin to tell you how good it is to finally be an official member of The Ranch Family! The passion this station has always had for not only being true to the music, but just as well to our Great State of Texas has always matched up well with mine and I am so honored to call 95.9 The Ranch my new home on the radio.

At age 11, you don't set goals, you have dreams. My dream at that age was to be a DJ or to play for the Texas Rangers. My baseball dream and rotator cuff all went to pieces in college in 1995. There I stood warming up in the bullpen at Disch Faulk Field at University of Texas. I was a Lamar Cardinal and was getting loose my left handed potato gun when I darn near launched the baseball into the stands. Baseball had to go away and the degree I was shooting for in Radio Broadcast Communications had better start to pay off.

In the Summer 1996 it all did when I landed an internship working in sports radio along side one of my radio heroes, Norm Hitzges. You talk about baptism by fire! I was at the station each morning by 5am bringing Mr. Hitzges his newspapers, bowl of oats to smack around, and a pot of coffee.

That entire summer, I marinated myself in the business of radio. My dream had come true, but now came the goals. Sustain and move up the ladder from oat thrower to full on broadcast professional. Thirteen years later and a few radio notches in my belt, I'm starting to sneak up on it. .

You'll find me here at The Ranch every morning from 6am to 10am playing your favorite Texas / Red Dirt singer-songwriters and doing all I can to get your day off to spectacular start. Anything I can do for y'all, don't ever hesitate to get a hold of me at Justin@TheRanchRadio.com.

When you see me out and around town, there a good chance you’ll meet Casey. In 2001 I convinced her to marry me. She puts up with all of my junk, is just as big a fan of Texas / Red Dirt Music, and thanks goodness she likes baldheaded, fat guys. She is way over my head and I Thank the Lord for her every day.

If you hear an two high pitch screams and bit of fighting going on around us, there a real good chance you’re about to meet our two kiddos. Jaycie and Castin. Five and two respectively and where as they love each other to death, sometimes I think they take that “to death” part a bit too far.

This is a great time to extend an open invitation to all of you to join my family and I once a year around Labor Day for Pickin’ For Preemies at Billy Bobs Texas. Keep listening and you’ll find out all about it.

I look forward to dragging y'all outta bed each morning. Sure, somedays will be tougher than others, but all in all, there is no better place to see the sunrise then right here in the Great State Of Texas!
