The only two wins of Austin Dillon’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series career have come on the big stages. Dillon finally broke through last year with a victory in the Coca Cola 600, and Sunday night he tops that by claiming the checkered flag in the Daytona 500.  Dillon made a somewhat controversial last-lap pass of Aric Almirola to gain his only lead of the race. He had a huge run on the backstretch and bumped Almirola out of the way. With the win the famed #3 car goes to victory lane at Daytona 20 years after it was last sent there by Dale Earnhardt in his only Daytona 500 victory.
