Mike Ryan writes for Sea Gayle Publishing.  Per their website, “Sea Gayle Music is an independent music publishing company based in Nashville, Tennessee. It was formed in 1999 by songwriter Chris DuBois, songwriter/producer Frank Rogers, and songwriter/artist Brad Paisley.  We specialize in writing hit songs for the country music market. Since 1999, our writers have written over 40 number one hits.”

You could say Mike is in great company as Sea Gayle also employees a few other names you may recognize like Brandy Clark and Bobby Pinson.  In previous years, Wade Bowen, Chris Stapleton, Radney Foster and Trent Wilmon have all penned tunes for Sea Gayle.

Mike’s first big success with Sea Gayle came when a song he helped co-write “Last Time For Everything” was cut by Brad Paisley, placed on his album “Love and War” and then released as a single to country radio.

Mike’s current single spinning on The Ranch ‘The Re-Write” was written with  Sea Gayle members Chris Dubois and Brent Anderson.

It was about a year ago Mike set in as he often does on The Texas Red Dirt Roads Radio Show and in tow that day was his buddy Brent Anderson.

Brent Anderson

Brent entertained a full house at Magnolia Motor Lounge with new songs he’s penned, some that have been recorded and released and some that still sit in a book somewhere waiting for the right time to come along.

Here’s one in particular that ended up on Brad Paisley’s  “Moonshine In The Trunk” album.
