(Stephenville, TX) – Stephenville recieved an important designation next week when the state’s Texas Music Office certifies the city as “Texas Music Friendly.”

The designation was made official on Tuesday, Nov. 13, during a celebration from 6-8 p.m. at Twisted J.   Stephenville is only the sixth city in Texas to receive the honor.

A press release from the governor’s office states that participation in the program provides the city with a network for fostering music industry development and sends a clear message to industry professionals that certified communities are serious about attracting and developing music industry growth.

Other cities who have received this prestigious certification are Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Denton and Lindale.  Other cities that are currently working through the certification process are Dallas, Corpus Christi and Lubbock.
