The newly renovated Sheep and Swine Barns as well as the new show arena were unveiled Tuesday(Dec. 17) at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Ft. Worth.   Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker, Fort Worth Stock Show Chariman Phillip Williamson and Stock Show Senior Executive Vice President and General Manger Matt Carter(pictured) gave remarks during a brief ceremony.  This major transformation of livestock barns into modern facilities will now be able to host a wide variety of public events.

Mayor Parker explained that the $40 million project was a partnership with the City of Ft. Worth and the Stock Show and this shows that the city is firmly planted in our western heritage.

Stock Show Chairman Williamson added that the Sheep and Swine Buildings were originally constructed in 1948 and now this state of the art facility increased stalling capacity by 41%.

This completes the third of a four-phase plan to original livestock facilities at the Will Rogers Memorial Center.

These renovations are now ready for the 2025 Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo as more than 13,000 Texas youth competing for more than $7 million in scholarships and auction receipts.  This year’s show is expected to draw more than 1.2 million visitors from around the world.  The Stock Show runs January 17 – February 8.
